On May 4, Mike Wickiser and I traveled to Concord, NH for Wayne's interment at the New Hampshire Veterans Memorial Cemetery. At the reception following the service, we expressed our condolences to Sally and his family.
Those of us in the measurement community knew Wayne as pioneer in our craft, and, for many of us, a mentor. But he was also a graduate of West Point, an officer in the US Army, a gifted athlete and sportsman, as well as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

I'm glad you got to it. Wish I'd been paying more attention, I might have gone up there. Wayne was a good friend and an energetic champion of measurement and of spreading the word about how to measure.
