The US Olympic Team Marathon Trials(TX11060ETM) for January 14, 2012 was Pre-Validated on Oct. 15th, 2011. The course TX11060ETM consists of one large closed loop(approximately 12.84 km)
and a smaller loop(approximately 3.67 km). The race starts by running the smaller loop, which is run from the start line passing the finish line and continuing in a counter clockwise direction passing the start line then to the finish line. The runners then run the larger loop 3 times starting at the finish line and ending at the finish line.

Marathon Course Validation process:
First, the calibration course was verified the day before by the team pictured above.

At 2:30am Saturday morning we all did our pre Cal rides. The validation was a two step process, which started around 2:40am. We first measured the small loop and followed this with measuring the large loop. We rode the course in a clockwise direction.

We also added two certifications/validations of the 25k & 30K splits on the course(This was done by Bernie Conway and Gene Newman).

At the conclusion of riding the loops, we did our post cal rides and off we went to breakfast to do our calculations.

I wish to thank all those who helped make this happen. Also, the McBrayer's went above and beypnd the call of duty as we appreciated their efforts to make our stay enjoyable.
