I agree with Pete. If a pair of measurers always work together, and both want to be listed in the measurement database, they can alternate taking the lead on subsequent measurements.

There is no need to add additional fields to the certificate. However, the names of the measurers and contact info may be added to the certification map.

Thank you. -- Justin
I am in this situation now with my first team measurement being finalized. I was measurer A on a full/half marathon project and measurer B and I each made 1 of the maps. As it stands, it looks like a map drawn by another measurer will go online under my listing of measurements. Its a great map, so I don't have any heartburn on that, but his efforts won't be recognized when potential clients view his online "resume" of course measurement and maps. Going forward, we will split things up differently and make sure that we both cross-reference eachother on both of our maps. It was my error for not doing my homework on this before hand.

In your experience as certifiers, do most team measurements alternate credit on the maps or does 1 person seem to always take the lead and draw both maps?

I agree with Pete and Justin - the cert should show "person in charge of measurement", and that is the person responsible.

Alternate placing "person responsible" on different applications, so both of a team get credit for alternating courses. I don't believe a certificate should list two measurers, as the second one likely won't know the answers to some of the questions.
I've been measuring with 2 person teams for 25 years or more. We use a company name (Guido Brothers...) on maps and application forms and data sheets. The calibration data sheets use the company name followed by the initials of the rider. My email address goes on the map. If there are any questions, I am able to answer them or find the answer, there's no need for "committee" responsibility. Calibration courses are different, the names of both people are provided on the Application for Certification of Calibration Course sheet . This works well, I see no need for a change (it ain't broke).
I've had a few requests over the years to do someone else's maps. While I wasn't in charge of the measurement, I make sure my name goes on the maps I make. I honestly love doing the paperwork end of the process. So, should anyone download the certificate map, my name is on the document as the one who created the maps.

If I am in charge of the measurement, and I did all of the brain-work, I want to be listed as the measurer. But since I measure as a team of two most times, I add my second rider on the map. Usually it is just a name and credentials if they have any, but I may start putting contact information on it as well.

I did my years of measuring as a second rider and received no recognition. It's just a part of training and doing the time. My name eventually got top billing when I started doing the planning, coordinating, measuring and paperwork. I'll gladly ride second for anyone, and not take the credit. It's still money in my pocket.
