TSA and J/O/R Counter

Flying back from Jacksonville I had my bag pulled and searched after going through security. Seems they saw the teeth on the large counter wheel and thought it might be a saw blade or ninja throwing star! It helped that the supervisor who did the search had run the Gate River race the day before.

When I traveled to measure recently I shipped a counter to the remote location ahead of time. TSA is very unpredictable about what they will let through and what they won't(I think being unpredictable is part of the their strategy). I've had things get through on the way to my destination that got confiscated on the way home. So just because others haven't had a problem with getting counters through TSA doesn't mean you won't.
