I can’t see the harm in the original measurer submitting old data to get an expired course renewed. The old renewal process allowed people other than the original measurer to just fill out a one-page form, make a statement that often turned out to be a lie, and get the course renewed.

If the original measurer submits his or her original data, and a new course is generated, the risk factor is very low and I believe it is a practice that should be permitted. At present it is neither permitted nor denied.

I would not accept an application done this way from anyone except the original measurer.
Again, thanks. I had planned to send the original data and a new map for recertification. However I found my old request for recertification (11/21/2000) and checked the on-line course list and there it is with a status code of "A00". I assume this is "Active-recertified in 2000". The cert number is the original number, CT90012DR. Am I understanding this correctly, or should I resubmit the data?
