I was ask by a race director to measure her course and have it certified. I than found out that most of the run is on trails (which I thought we were not to have certified). I have no idea what the trails look like whether it is a path through the woods or something like the towpath. I am awaiting Mike Wickiser answer on this. Now she tells me she she has Mike to certify the course she just wants me to measure it. I am guessing that she is filling out the paper work and drawing the map. I am wondering if anyone has heard of this and would you also go ahead and just measure course and let the race director fill out the rest of the paper work.
Thanks for anyone's input.

It seems to it should not matter who creates the map and completes the form as long as the measurer is satisfied that all parts of the form are correct and the map adequately describes the course the way it was measured. The measurer must take full responsibity for the paperwork and give that assurance to the certifier, even if someone else creates it.
