Race Date on the Certificate

Is it important to have the Race Date on the Certificate? This was asked by one of my Vice Chairs. It was pointed out this date only has meaning for the original year the course was certified.

The race date should have no meaning to what we do. It would be the Records Committee that would determine if the course was Certified prior to any performance run on it. This information is requested on the records application and the Certification date is verified by the Records Committee - not the RRTC!
