New Positions

The RRTC has created a new Council Position to verify the accuracy of our Measurers List. Jane Parks has taken this position. Jane has done an outstanding job as a Regional Certifier and now has an added job - Thanks Jane!

We have a new provisional Regional Certifier in Carol McLatchie for SD, ND and HI. Carole will be training with Jim Gerweck to achieve full Final Signatory. Thanks Carol for your interest and we at RRTC know you will serve the running Community well.

Tom LaBlonde has taken over AZ and passed on the above States to Carol.

All these changes help the RRTC. Thanks to all the above individuals. Gene Newman, USATF/RRTC Chairman

I couldn't pass up the opportunity to dredge up a bit of history concerning our newest Regional Certifier. Back in 1991 Carol rode along with the all women's team that validated the Houston Tenneco Marathon course that was to serve as the 1992 Women's Trials course. Carol had actually qualified for the Trials and served as the athletic rep to RRTC. She rode as an observer on her " 2-speed "- stop and go. After the ride Carol expressed amazement at some of the measurement procedures. That was probably the start of her interest in measuring.
