MEASUREMENT NEWS AVAILABLE ON DVD

Measurement News was the communication vehicle for course measurement from 1982 to 2004. It was published bimonthly and mailed to subscribers. Measurers and certifiers wrote articles and letters which were published for all to read. It's since been replaced by this online forum.

There’s a lot of history there, and answers to questions that keep arising. Also, you’ll get an insight into some of the measurers around the US and the world.

It is available at no cost by going to www.rrtc.net and looking for it at “Historical Archive on RunScore.com”
Unfortunately the online version’s index is not searchable.

I intend to sell DVD’s on the www.jonescounter.com website. It will have a searchable index.
Before I do, I’d like to get smarter about how to do it.

I can sell the DVD, in pdf format with searchable index, for $5, but am open to suggestions as to how best to make it available. I regard the searchable index as highly valuable, as it’s a long file, and a tedious job to use without a search function.

I find it quite handy to have the past issues in my computer rather than only online.

Any suggestions?

I suggested to Pete that the easiest way to make this available to anyone that wants it is to put it on a shared drive. He agreed, so it is now on Google Drive.

Once you have access you should be able to download it to your computer, or you can just access individual files when you want without actually downloading. Several years ago Alan Jones made this available through a web interface. (Perhaps Pete could post the link.) The only advantage now is that you can download all the files to your computer if you like, rather than access them through the web each time.

I am reluctant to open it up to the public in general for now, so if you would like access just send an email to Pete or me.
