Marked Rim on Rolatape

My 4 foot circumference Rolatape measuring wheel has 20 spokes and four strikers. The strikers record a foot traveled each 1/4 revolution.

It occurred to me that with 20 spokes each spoke interval would be 0.2 feet. I used some sticky tape and put 0,2,4,6,8 all around the rim, taking care that zero was placed just after the striker tripped the counter.

This allows me to easily measure to a precision of 0.2 feet or 2.4 inches. This is handy. Give it a try!
