This one looks good since it allows you to create your own conversions, i.e., counts to feet.

Any know of a similar app for the blackberry? One that lets you define your own conversions.
Lyman can you use the "CONVERT.exe" on a mac. I tried to download it and open the file but it come up with a bunch of goobley gook stuff.
I think this was mentioned before. You can use Google to convert. In any Google search prompt or in the Chrome address field, type something like 5000 meters in feet or 10 miles in meters. The conversion will display immediately.

Hmmm. It seems to me that it would be much simpler to set up one's own Excel spreadsheet, and use it on your phone. The spreadsheet would have all the items we need.
Have a cell for Length of Cal Course, in feet and/or meters. Have it calculate the other value (meter or feet).
Enter each of your rides, and have it calculate the rest. You can put as many variations as you want in there. I do it with the Excel sheets I have on my RaceMeasure site.
A free Android app can be found at http://www.kingsoftstore.com/office/excel-for-android. I have downloaded it, and put my Excel sheet into it. Seems simple. You can zoom the screen, for all the old eyes out there (Lyman).
To me, making our own spreadsheet allows us to customize completely, and to have all of our conversions as precise as we desire.
Just my opinion.

The spreadsheets are excellent. But the idea of using Excel on my phone makes my old eyes hurt. Maybe an iPad. The day I can afford a weatherproof touch screen iPad that I can mount on my handlebars or rear rack, I am all over it.
No, there is no version for Mac. There is one called "iConvert". The free download is at iConvert Download for Mac

Mark, that's one of the apps I have. Didn't realize there was a "Custom" option. Of course you'd have to plug in your constant for the day for both meters and feet, I'd think.
For my $3, Dougie Roxborough's UKCM app is perhaps the best I've ever used. Can't recommend it enough!
