I need a course measured, quick.

Actually, we have so many certified courses there it wouldn't be a problem. Just need a tape measure to measure from anyone of hundreds of measured points. fyi - all landmarks are from numbered poles.Thank you NYC Parks Department.

If you still need a measurer, I just received a measurement submission done last week in 8 degrees.

I hope it was a short course! I did a 5k and a 10k back-to-back in 20° last year, and had to go inside to warm up between courses. By the end of the 10k, I was numb in hands and feet, even with booties and 3 pair of gloves.

This is the reply I got from the measurer when I told him I hoped he was well paid.
"Next time I will charge more no doubt about it. They were in a pinch and I had a free Sunday so we knocked it out for them."
BTW, this was a 5k with two measurers.

Yesterday I measured a 5K and 10K with temps starting at 18 degrees F. Not my choice of a day but it was when I could bring along some potential new measurers. (I hope they believed me when I told them it isn't always like this, fingers and toes freezing, and snowpiles at street corners that you have to figure out how to measure, etc!)

Last week I vetoed a plan to do this same measurement, the temps were around 8 degrees plus a wind chill.

I think I've found a solution for feet-- I removed the "rat-traps" on my pedals and wore my heavy insulated winter boots. But if anyone knows a good solution for hands please holler! Problem is, too many times taking hands out of gloves/mittens or whatever you're using.

My hands and feet suffer from a lifetime of winter abuse.
I have a selection of Merino and Alpaca wool socks. The best thing I have found for my fingers are the insulated flip open glove/mittens. They are good for measuring because you are in mittens most of the time but they flip open to expose finger less gloves for writing down data.
