Kenda Inner tube factory
Kenda makes great tires and tubes. On my old bike, the tire was about $75, and the tube was $9. I bought lots of tubes. They make 3x as many tubes as tires.
I carry a pump, spare tube and a patch kit. And a CO2 rig. I don't like to hike in "clip-in cycling shoes" so I go into the woods prepared.
I ride tubeless now. I carry sealant, and a patch kit, & pump. I also carry a tube, and a patch kit for that.
I have never expected tires or inner tubes to be bulletproof. They are thin by design, and could not function properly otherwise.
When I ride, I am prepared for any eventuality. Whether due to my own mistake upon installation, inadvertent mishap, or even a random tube that was mis-manufactured, I'm not going to blame the tube for being stuck out in the woods.
I'm going to carry a spare.
It's a light, compact, and relatively inexpensive component that is essential to the function of the wheel.
