Looks like the last time pricing was discussed on this forum was 2012. I'm curious what other measures are charging for services. My basic structure is $50/kilometer + mapping/certification fees + miscellaneous fees (course design time, mileage, insurance if required by the client, etc). I don't charge for duplicate miles (i.e., if I do a 5K and 10K combo, but the 10K uses a portion of the 5K course, I don't charge twice for that shared portion). I will however charge for the separate map/certification fees.

You can play around with it by changing the values in the "Detail" column. FYI, I do not offer this as a public link to potential clients, so please keep this to yourself.

I often give discounts, package deals, negotiated prices, etc, so this is not necessarily what I walk away with, but I used it as a starting point. How does this compare to what others are charging in 2022?

I doubt that either Gary or Jim or any other measurer makes a living from measuring. I estimate that I make about half as much measuring a 5K as I would have spent playing a round of golf and less than I would spend running a marathon. Does that count as making money?
