Pete Riegel recently made the comment "We in the certification community are not quite at ease yet with the electronic method, because it leaves no footprints behind. When a Jones counter is used, a continuous string of non-reset counts is generated, which can tell the reviewer a lot about what went on."
I do not appreciate the great value of continuous readouts, but of course these are available from the odometer line of the Protege display in units of 10 rev. To get more sensitivity the great zeroing advantage can be sacrificed on the distance line.
