Completed a very rewarding Park Tool Bicycle Overhaul Class Yesterday. The class ran from 10 am to 6 pm. We learned many of those little tricks bike mechanics know from years of experience.
Dissembled and thoroughly cleaned the bike, especially degreasing the chain, front and rear derailleurs, and rear sprockets. It is quite a site to see your bike all dissembled. Can’t remember seeing my chain and rear sprockets so shinny!
We were taught to make all those necessary adjustments to the derailleurs and brakes. Got some very useful information about mounting a tire and properly seating the tire to the rim.
If you see this type of class offered at your local bike store you got to take it.
