There is a new post on this BB questioning the process involved in the assignment of State Certifiers. It is specific to the appointment of the new certifier in Wisconsin.

While I could certainly respond to this posting it would probably be better if Gene does so (in the interest of consistency).

There was a post by Patrick Pretty in reference to how a person becomes a Regional Certifier. Pat has expressed this concern before and I feel he knows exactly how the process works.
Actually, he stated today that he understands that the RRTC is doing a fine job and understands what we do. Thanks to the suppport of the Associations Chair(Alan Roth) this matter is now clear to Pat. Also, a thanks to Pete Riegel for explaining how one becomes a Regional Certifier.

Most know that one becomes a Regional Certifier by appointment for the Chair of the RRTC. The person appointed has measured many courses and their work has proven to be excellent. The appointment is also based on their Regional Certifiers input. When the appointment is made, the new certifier goes through a trial
period with one of our Vice Chairs.
