Our meeting is Saturday at 10am. You can go to the USATF web site to get hotel information(here is the link --> http://www.usatf.org/). I suggest you stay at the Cavileer Hotel and if you would like to call me for more details please do so.
Gene: Since the meeting is not an unreasonable treck from Connecticut, is there a particular time that you would recommend for those measurers wanting to attend? I see there's a 5K on the boardwalk (there are almost no boards in the boardwalk)early Friday morning, but the RRTC meeting is Saturday around noon. Is the RRTC session open to measurers who are not certifiers? Do many measurers who are not certifiers attend? Bob Baumel's agenda has some topics of particular interest. Do the futile minds of the RRTC have any unscheduled events planned?
There is a run as you note and it's open for all. You can registered online at the USATF site to participate in all the events or just come to our meeting as it's open for all(time is 10am Saturday in the Convention Center, suite 4-B). We have some measurers attend and a few Certifiers attend, which is always nice to meet new people. The Hotel of choice is the Cavileer as that is where we all will be staying.
I'm arriving Wed afternoon as I have several meeting to attend starting on Thursday. There is an expo for Track people and also for Race timing people, which may be of interest to you. Another meeting which I attend is that of records, which may have some interest for you(it's Friday, 12pm in the Convention Center Suite 5-B).
Some years we have all RRTC Officers. This year we have Jim Gerweck, David Katz, Justin Kuo, Jane Parks, Paul Hronjak, Duane Russell, Bob Baumel and I attending. Unfortunately, we will be missing a few officers.
If you have question about any of this please give me a call at 520.904.7805. Also, if you do come the number here is my cell and you may give me a call just to check in on things.
