At today's RAK Half Marathon times that would have been world records for the male & female leaders at 12 km were negated when it was found the timing point was 4m short.
The problem was blamed on cars being parked on the course during the original measurement.
But here's my question:
The times at 15 & 20 km and 10 miles were found to be OK. So if the course was "short" at 12 km how did it get "correct" within just 3 km?
