Is there information about the measurement of the Berlin marathon? Who measured, was it a team or individual, etc? I would suppose they were pretty careful about the placement of (n x 5 km) points. Do they mark each kilometer, I wonder?

I guess the formula for setting a record is pretty straightforward: start fast and keep getting faster!
