Completed the required 90 minute online Safe Sport training. Anyone connected to USATF is required to take the training. First year is the 90 minute training, year 2 thru 4 is a 20 minute refresher, then repeated 90 minute training again in the 5 year. No monetary cost, but a bit of time cost. Information provided is important to know.
Learned that event directors seeking USATF Sanctions are also required to take the training. The USOC has required ALL Sport NGO’s to require the Safe Sport training. Thank you to gymnastics.
My USATF membership cost was $44.40 ($40 membership paid after November 1, 2022 and before December 31, 2022, plus $4.40 processing fee), Additionally there was a Background Check cost of $23.18 ($22 background check plus $1.18 processing fee).
