The unit’s memory will begin to accumulate 9.999 meters each time the wheel makes a rotation. However, the display will not change until the memory exceeds the next 0.01 miles. This results in the same displayed revolutions for two different actual revolutions. For example, when the display reads 0.06, either 10 or 11 actual revolutions have occurred.
Because of this uncertainty, the unit, when set at miles/hour, will not reliably record actual revolutions. In addition, fractional readings taken from the rim are invalid.
