Reply to "Misplace turnaround nullifies AR"

I took a close look at John Sissala's certification map and the location of the misplaced turnaround on Ohio Drive. While the turn around description is more ambiguous than it should be, IMHO, it is possible to locate the exact point of the TA with a little clarification. What is a shame is that the course layout team, upon arriving at the approximate turn around early race morning and seeing the ambiguous point description did not bother to call the race director for this clarification. The RD knew exactly how to contact John. John could have counseled the layout team where to place the turn around.

The layout team never bothered. For next year, the RD is hiring a certifier to act as course monitor to survey and manage the layout.
