They used to run a marathon around the speedskating oval in Milwaukee. I wonder if that's one of the Wisconsin races they cited.

Also wonder what the logistics are of changing directions every half hour. Would each runner finish the lap (or half lap?) they're running and then turn around? I can't imagine they'd beable to track distance otherwise...
