Reply to "Difference between cal and course surface"

Bob Thurston told me that he has experienced higher counts on an unpaved surface than on a side-by-side comparison on a paved surface. The cal course was on pavement. The unpaved course was on the C & O Canal Towpath, which is hard-packed dirt & gravel. Bob could fill in the details.
