During my marathon of course measurements in December, I sometimes unintentionally ended up in the dark and sorely felt the need for continuous illumination of the Protege.
I could have bought a special handlebar attachment for just this purpose through Nashbar, but instead I got a small flashlight from Walmart for less than $10 (Brinkmann). This has two LEDs that give an incredible 50 hr of illumination from just two AA batteries. I attached this very securely in a groove of my old helmet with an electrical tie through the air vents as shown below. This not only provided brilliant illumination of the Protege, but allowed me to take rim readings easily. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Neville, |
