At the convention there was a long discussion about the approval of this type of device. The council has approved it's use under the following conditon. If one decides to use this device they must first be cleared by Pete Riegel or me. They will contact us and explain how they have set up the bike and some other details.

If the measurer has a Jones, I suggest that for a couple of course measurements that he uses it simultaneously with the electronic counter. Should both counters give precisely identical results,he can present his results for permission to demount his Jones.

Whether you have a Jones/Oerth counter or not, if you are interested at all in using a cyclocomputer for course measurement, get in touch. I will be happy to walk you through it, step by step, by email.

I thought it would be complicated when I started to use it, but it did not take long to see that it was simple.

So, please email me if you have an interest, or even if you only have questions or opinions. Better still, if it’s questions or opinions, put them here on the Bulletin Board.
