I was out measuring the other day, and documenting the splits with my digital camera. Later, when I loaded the pictures into my computer I saw that the last few were very dark. Fortunately I was able to brighten them up electronically, but initially they looked indecipherable. What happened?

I think it must have been the heat. It was sunny and 95F, and I carry the camera in a small black leather pouch on the back of my belt. I looked up the specs on the camera and they said it has an operating temperature range from 0C to 40C (40F to 104F). I suspect the camera just got hot.

Anybody else had this happen?
