While attending a seminar in Pittsburgh last weekend I saw a new trick. Jim Wilhelm, Ohio measurer, was using his kickstand as an aiming device. When he approaches a data point, he kicks it down and uses the end to get right on the point.

Pretty slick! Beats the eyeball.
