I recently received an application for a cal course for 500 m. With the adjustments and corrections factored in distance was 500.09 m.
How would you certify this - 500 m or 500.09?

I'd call the course the Whoosis Street 500 Meters and certify it at 500.09

Whoops! This is likely to cause confusion. Why not ask the guy who wants it certified? Let him have it as he likes it. Makes little difference anyway.

I would certify it at 500 meters. The SCPF makes the course up to 500.5 meters anyway. An extra centimeter makes not a whit of difference in time, unless hi-tech electronic timing equipment is used.
